A production respectful of CLAY

Controlled manufacturing at every stage Thanks to the automation of our depiling process, each tile benefits from precise and rigorously controlled treatment from the moment it leaves production.

This control guarantees impeccable quality before it is installed by the roofer.

Our manufacturing process is based on demanding expertise and essential steps:

Seasonal extraction of the clay several months in advance;

"Decaying" of the clay mixture in earthen cellars for one month;

Extensive grinding and mixing of the clay paste;

Shaping of the tiles from pure clay without the addition of degreasers;

Long and gradual drying of the tiles for 24 hours;

Slow firing at up to 1000 degrees Celsius for 72 hours in the kiln.

Unique Clay Canal Tiles by Nature This demanding manufacturing method, inherited from expertise recognized for over a century, yields terracotta tiles with remarkable properties:

Exceptionally high mechanical resistance and strength;

A very high level of impermeability of the clay body;

A very smooth surface finish that naturally limits greening and the growth of moss and lichen;

A clay body texture that promotes sealing and mortar adhesion;

Perfect frost resistance, recognized since 1880.
