"Coupée de départ" cut edge start tile

Photos of achievements

The "coupée de départ" (cut edege start tile) exists with or without tenons.

It depends on the hat tile you have chosen. You can see an example of attachment in the slideshow above.

Tile shortened in its length. Placed in a hat, it initiates the row of tiles and rests on a current tile. Pre-drilled for the face, it eliminates the cutting step and thus facilitates installation

The starting Cut Tile is an accessory that is positioned at the bottom of the slope of the roof.

It aligns with the sewer line and makes the row of hat tiles more uniform.

It is the first tile laid in a hat, it is this which starts the row and facilitates the work of the installer.

The masonry starting cut consists of sealing it with lime mortar.

Sealing with SAINT-ASTIER lime with 0/2 sand.

1 bucket of lime and 2 buckets of sand.

Recommendations from BATIMENTS DE FRANCE

Elastic, waterproof, the filling is rarely subject to cracking.

Placed on a bed of mortar, the starting cuts are fixed after the elimination of the excess mortar making the structure stable and solid.
